South Coast Track (Cockle Creek) to Hobart

Transfer from the South Coast Track trail head at Cockle Creek to hotels or addresses in the Hobart CBD.

The last campsites along the track from this direction are Lion Rock and South Cape Rivulet, 2 to 4 hours from the trail head.  Camping is also available at Cockle Creek pickup point.

This transfer is suitable for the following walk itineraries:

• South Coast Track west to east starting at Melaleuca airstrip (serviced by Par Avion)
• Port Davey Track north to south starting at Scotts Peak Dam (serviced by Tasmanian Wilderness Experiences) then the South Coast Track east to west
• Part of the South Coast Track and returning to Cockle Creek having started one or more days earlier (e.g. Cockle Creek to Prion Beach and back is 3 to 4 days and does not include the infamous Ironbound Range)
• Southern Ranges Traverse (via Precipitous Bluff and New River Lagoon) after starting at Lune River (serviced by Tasmanian Wilderness Experiences)

Hobart to South Coast Track (Cockle Creek)

Transfer from hotels or addresses in the Hobart CBD to the Scotts Peak trail head.

Contact us if you require access to other trail heads in the Lake Pedder area such as: Timbs Track, Mt Sprent Track (Frankland Ranges Traverse), Mt Anne Track (Condominium Creek) or Lake Judd Track (Red Tape Creek).

Camping is available at the trail head and at Junction Creek 2 to 4 hours along the Port Davey Track.

This transfer is suitable for the following walk itineraries:

• Lake Oberon (3 days)
• Western Arthurs traverse from Alpha to Kappa Moraine via Lake Oberon (7 to 10 days)
• Western Arthurs full traverse (10 to 12 days)
• Western and Eastern Arthurs traverse to Farmhouse Creek (12 to 15 days)
• Port Davey Track to Melaleuca (4 to 5 days)
• Port Davey and South Coast Tracks to Cockle Creek (11 to 14 days)
• Mount Anne Circuit (3 to 4 days)
• Frankland Range traverse (6 to 10 days)
